EthnoPharm™ is seeking to create and help facilitate relationships between traditional communities/plant-growing regions and market players in the areas of cosmeceuticals, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, or functional foods. Companies interested in benefit sharing relationships should e-mail
Kerry@EthnoPharm.com and visit the links on the right to read about participating communities as they are added to this site.
EthnoPharm™ is available for the contracting of special product development relationships for new product ideation, as well as on-going consulting in various aspects of development. The EthnoPharm™ Botanical Database (EBD) was created as a tool to bring new plant products and uses to market. Currently, the database use is restricted to those who are prequalified to do so (requires preliminary investigation of intent, signing of an NDA, and contract for use), and the fees depend on the intended use and number of candidates that are contracted. Other on-going product development relationships may be created that are customized to the needs of the contracting business. The EBD and product development relationships with EthnoPharm™ are intended for use by companies that want to develop plant products as dietary supplements, functional foods, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics.
EthnoPharm™ can assist in new product development by providing leads and technical and cultural understanding of ethnobotanical leads, new plant uses, and licensable products (already developed). Whenever possible, EthnoPharm™ promotes the use of direct sources, community supporting products, and benefit share partners.
There is currently no web interface for the EBD. Companies that are interested in accessing the EBD or creating product development relationships should e-mail:
